The verdict of the Jury

“We, the jury of CICAE, have decided to present the ‘Art Cinema Award’ to ‘The Giants’ by Bouli Lanners. This feature film is a sensitive and warmhearted story about hopes, disappointments and dreams of adolescence. In moments of comical humor and melancholy two brothers decide to follow their own path in life and discover the value of friendship. The successful realisation of these universal topics, to which everybody can relate to as well as the outstanding cinematography and a pointed script convinced us to award Bouli Lanners with this prize.”
