Ukrainan filmmaker Oleg Sentsov has been sentenced in 2015 to 20 years in prison on charges of terrorism and arms trafficking. His “crime” from Moscow’s perspective is him having refused the Russian citizenship after Crimea has been annexed.
He has been on a hunger strike now for over 100 days in his prison in Siberia. The European Parliament and numerous professional and humanitarian organizations demand the immediate release of Oleg Sentsov.
The CICAE – International Confederation of Art Cinemas, representing more than 2000 cinemas across the world supports the campaign of the European Film Academy.
