Arthouse Cinema Awards 2027: Jury applications are now open!
Are you a CICAE member? Join an international jury at a major film festival and help outstanding independent films reach wider audiences.
The CICAE Arthouse Cinema Awards is presented at international film festivals by juries of arthouse cinema exhibitors and film programmers. Their mission is to discover exceptional films and help them find their way to arthouse cinemas and new audiences.
In a film market dominated by major productions, many innovative films, debut features and works from underrepresented countries struggle to secure distribution. The award gives these films greater visibility and supports filmmakers whose work deserves to be discovered.
Why join a CICAE jury?
As a jury member, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discover outstanding films and help select the award-winning film at an international festival.
- Connect with fellow professionals from the international arthouse cinema network.
- Support filmmakers by helping their films reach new audiences beyond the festival circuit.
- Contribute to the European Arthouse Cinema Day: award-winning films can gain additional visibility through the event, and their directors may become ambassadors for the celebration of arthouse cinema.
Which festivals can you apply for?
Applications are currently open for the winter and spring 2027 festival season, including the Berlinale Panorama and Berlinale Forum in Berlin, as well as Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, for its Cinéma en Construction (Films in Progress) section.
Applications for the summer and autumn 2027 festival season will open after February 2027.
Explore the participating festivals, jury opportunities and relevant dates on our Arthouse Cinema Awards page.
