CICAE appalled by arrest of Iranian directors • CICAE

The international arthouse association CICAE is shocked by the arrest of Iranian directors Mohammad Rasoulof, Mostafa Al-Ahmad and Jafar Panahi and calls for an immediate end to their detention.

Artistic freedom and freedom of expression are fundamental and inalienable rights. Arthouse cinemas will always be a place where people can raise their voices for liberal and democratic rights, and CICAE emphasizes its support for all those in the world who are subjected to violence and repression.
