At the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival, the film White Snail by Elsa Kremser & Levin Peter received the Arthouse Cinema Award by the CICAE jury.
The jury, formed by Alexander Omar Lang (Kino Moviemento, Berlin, Germany), Sylvie da Rocha (Le Zola, Villeurbanne, France), and Diego Ginartes Rodríguez (Helsinki International Film Festival - Love and Anarchy, Helsinki. Finland), stated as following:
"A film that thoughtfully represents heavy subjects like vulnerability, mortality, spirituality and the evanescence of the human being through the lens of tenderness. An equilibrium is achieved where light can be found amidst darkness. Deeply rooted in reality as the characters radiate a universal mysticism. We are proud to present the CICAE/Art House Cinema Award to the film, White Snail, hoping that it reaches more audiences worldwide"
